Lynnwood Truck Accident Kills One, Injures Two
10/9/2007
One young man died and two more were injured in a truck accident
near Lynnwood early Sunday morning. Andrew R. Stahley, 22, died. Joshua Kevin Parker, 20, was treated at a nearby hospital and released. Johnny Lee Miler, 27, was transported to Harborview Medical Center.
According to the State Patrol, the truck left the roadway, hit the guardrail and flipped over. Two of the men, including Stahley, were not wearing seatbelts.
Have you or someone you know been involved in a similar accident? If so consider contacting an attorney today.
As we have mentioned before, it is a common belief that you can not recover from your insurance company if you were not wearing a seatbelt. This belief is incorrect. The first thing to do in this situation, and in any car accident, is to determine what caused the accident. If the accident was caused by driver error the surviving passengers or the family of the deceased could bring a claim against the driver. Of course, it is often difficult to determine the cause of a car accident with absolute certainty. Because of this it is would be a good idea for two injured men and the family of the deceased man to employ separate attorneys if they were to pursue a personal injury claim.
