Metro driver fired, accused of neglient driving
10/26/2007
The Metro bus driver, Sandie Olosky, 35, who was involved in the head-on collision in April that killed a man, will be fired by Metro.
The accident occurred on Highway 164 when Olosky failed to slow with traffic and swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid hitting the car in front of her. The bus hit the bumper of the vehicle in front of her and then collided head-on with a truck driven by Michael Dahlquist, 21. Dahlquist died at the scene of the accident.
Have you been a victim of Metro's erratic driving? If so, consider contacting an attorney today.
Metro stated that the crash was a "severe, preventable accident" Olosky may be prosecuted for second-degree negligent driving . I work downtown. Almost every day I see Metro buses running red lights and driving erratically. There appears to be a systemic problem with Metro. Disregard for traffic regulations percolates down from the head of the organization to the drivers. This story is just the most recent, and one of the most tragic, examples of how Metro's prioritization of schedule over safety costs lives, caused injuries and put all of us at risk.
