7 Car Accident on I-5 leaves 6 Injured

On August 25, 2007 a driver heading northbound swerved to avoid hitting another car, lost control and jumped over the cable barrier and into the southbound lanes. The accident involved seven cars and resulted in huge backups on I-5 in both directions.

The seven car pileup accident on I-5 that was started by a teenager driving a Lincoln Continental that swerved into oncoming traffic. The accident involved six other cars headed southbound on I-5. Six people were injured in the collision, most seriously a 14 year old boy that was riding in the vehicle that crossed into the oncoming traffic.
